Resurgence wines is the brand from new artisan vineyard, Riwaka River Estate. Purchased from previous owners in 2008, we are a family owned and run vineyard. We are putting all our energy and passion into growing the perfect grape, ultimately resulting in uniquely styled wines with a subtle European influence, which truly reflects the terroir which is unique to our vineyard.

Our Philosophy
Quality is our philosophy, not quantity. We aim to produce fine wines that truly reflect their origin in a manner which is both sustainable and in harmony with the environment. The size of our vineyard and resulting low quantities of wine available from each vintage allow each wine to be uniquely hand crafted and true to its own style.

Bob Campbell has reviewed our 2009 Chardonnay and given it 4/5 stars which is the equivalent to a silver medal.

Judges were delighted with the quality of wines entered into the first Spiegelau International Wine Competition, judged in Marlborough on 27th June 2011. Riwaka River Came away with a Gold Medal for our Resurgence Pinot Noir 2010 vintage.
